Job summary

Montana State University Billings invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Criminal Justice. This tenure-track faculty position teaches undergraduate courses (criminal justice careers, research methods, crime theory, ethics) and graduate courses (research methods, data analysis, theory, policy).

The teaching load is 21 credits/year; opportunity to supervise graduate students and to serve as graduate coordinator.

Qualifications

• PhD in criminal justice, criminology, or related field (ABD considered).
• Willingness to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses including criminal justice careers, applied research methods, crime theory and data, and ethics; and graduate courses including graduate research methods, data analysis and management, theory and data, ethics and public policy.
• Serve as graduate coordinator and contribute to scholarship and service as outlined by the university and department guidelines.
