Alvernia University seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor of Criminal Justice for a full-time, tenure-track position in Reading, PA. The role focuses on in-person instruction within the traditional undergraduate program, with emphasis on active student engagement and campus presence.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, strong communication, and a record of scholarly engagement. Applicants should hold a Ph.D.

Qualificações

• Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a closely related field; degree expected by Aug 2027.
• Evidence of scholarly engagement appropriate to experience.
• Ability to teach undergraduate courses and engage in service.

Responsabilidades

• Teach in-person undergraduate courses across the curriculum from intro to capstone.
• Potentially teach a First-Year Seminar section as part of load.
• Advise students, mentor, and participate in career events and community partnerships.
• Support service, community engagement, and student development.
• Engage in scholarly activities and develop a research agenda.
