Job summary

The University of Oklahoma is seeking a Tenured/Tenure-Track faculty member in Cognitive Neuroscience with emphasis on attention, memory, or language. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of productivity and funding potential and may engage with a 7 Tesla MRI initiative.

Applicants at all ranks, including ABD, are welcome, with a start date around August 2027 and a teaching load of two courses per semester. A Ph.D. in Psychology or related field by mid-August 2027 is required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. by time of appointment (mid-August 2027).
• Record of productivity and potential for external funding.
• Ability to teach core cognitive neuroscience courses and develop new offerings.
• Commitment to mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.

Responsibilities

• Teach core cognitive neuroscience courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Develop novel course offerings and contribute to program growth.
• Mentor students and participate in program governance.
• Collaborate with centers and other units; potentially engage in 7 Tesla MRI research initiatives.
