These positions align with the strategic plans in Psychology and in the Office of the Vice President for Research and Partnerships (https://www.ou.edu/research-norman). Applicants at all ranks, including ABD, are welcome. The expected start date is August 2027. The teaching load is 2 courses per semester.
The Psychology department offers the PhD in Cognitive, Industrial/Organizational, Applied Social and Developmental, and Quantitative Psychology (Norman campus), and an MA in Organizational Dynamics (Tulsa campus). The successful candidate will have an established record of productivity, including a record of external funding or the potential to secure funding, with work focused on aspects of attention, memory, or language. Although all methodologies in human cognitive neuroscience are welcome, we are particularly interested in scholars capable of participating in the recently announced research agreement with the Siemens Corporation, which will bring a high-field (7 Tesla) research-dedicated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) instrument to the University of Oklahoma Health Campus in Oklahoma City. The successful candidate will also have an established record of or a commitment to effective mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and should be able to contribute to the teaching of core courses in cognitive neuroscience, as well as to the development of novel course offerings at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field by the time of appointment (mid-August, 2027).
