Job summary

Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology to begin July 1, 2027. We seek an integrative biologist with broad interests across molecular to ecosystem scales and a commitment to undergraduate teaching and scholarship.

The teaching load is five courses per year. We provide startup funds for research, conference support, and opportunities for pre-tenure leave; the appointee will participate in growing the Data Science Minor

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biology or adjacent fields.
• Offer demonstrates promise in research and teaching.
