Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville seeks two full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professors of Special Education to begin August 2027. Candidates will teach undergraduate courses in special education and professional education, engage in research, and contribute to university and departmental service.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. required in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in special education and professional education, in person and online.
• Supervise student teaching and clinical experiences.
• Teach courses within the special education minor and introduction to special education for education majors; professional education courses.
• Mentor undergraduate students and supervise undergraduate student research and scholarly activities.
• Provide leadership for the Special Education Minor.
• Engage in departmental, university, and community service and outreach with PreK-12 educators.
• Engage in research or scholarly activity and continuous professional development.
• Assess student learning outcomes and contribute to course and program improvements.

Education

Ph.D. or Ed.D. in special education, curriculum and instruction, counseling, educational leadership, or closely related fields
