The Department of German, Slavic, and Eurasian Studies at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of German, a tenure-track appointment beginning in Fall Semester 2027. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D.

by the time of appointment, will teach German language and literature/culture with a 2/2 load, and contribute to Notre Dame's liberal arts curriculum while engaging in the department's community.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment.
• Experience teaching German language and literature/culture classes.
• Teaching load of 2/2 and courses taught in German and English.
• Interdisciplinary interests in research and pedagogy welcome.

Responsibilities
