Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Construction Management for the 2027-2028 academic year at the Richmond campus. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; ABD with defense by May prior to Fall appointment may be considered.

MS with PE licensure and 5+ years of field experience will also be considered. The role includes teaching undergraduate CM courses, developing an active research agenda, advising

Qualifications

• PhD in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution.
• ABD candidates considered with scheduled defense by May before Fall appointment.
• MS degree with PE licensure and 5+ years in construction may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate construction management courses (Estimating, Scheduling, Horizontal Construction, MEP Systems).
• Develop and maintain an active scholarly agenda and conduct academic advising.
• Engage in service to the department, university, and community; participate in accreditation processes (ACCE).
• Stay current with industry advances and teaching pedagogy; attend conferences and development activities.
• Collaborate with peers to mentor student organizations and competition teams.
