Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or closely related field; ABDs considered with completion by July 31, 2027.
• Evidence of teaching and/or mentorship at the undergraduate level.
• Evidence of an ongoing scholarly/research agenda.

Responsibilities

• Teach 18 credit hours of courses per year, primarily core aerospace and mechanical courses and foundational thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Establish a research program and mentor undergraduate researchers, communicating results via peer-reviewed papers and presentations.
• Provide academic and career advising to undergraduate students and engage in service to department and university.
