Chico State is seeking a tenure-track instructional faculty member to teach undergraduate courses, conduct scholarly work, and provide student advising and committee service. The position involves a 12 weighted teaching unit load per semester with additional WTU release in the first two years.

The successful candidate will advise Animal Science majors pursuing Pre-Veterinary Science, participate in college service, and develop intradisciplinary scholarship aligned with the university mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: DVM (licensure in California within 12 months) or PhD in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Teach 12 weighted teaching units per semester (with 3 WTU release for the first two years).
• Advise undergraduate students, particularly Animal Science majors.
• Serve on college/university committees and engage in service activities.
• Develop intradisciplinary scholarly activities that support the college/university mission.
