Job summary

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a full-time 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business Economics beginning Fall 2027. The position will involve teaching undergraduate and graduate Economics courses while helping launch an AI-integrated business curriculum.

The ideal candidate will apply economics, econometrics, data analytics, and emerging AI technologies to business and economic problems, and engage in high-quality research while contributing to service

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Economics or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited (or equivalent) institution.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Economics and/or closely related business subjects.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly research and publication in accordance with faculty qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Economics in a variety of instructional modalities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the College’s AI-integrated curriculum, including Applied Machine Learning for Business, AI Strategy, and Generative AI prototyping.
• Incorporate appropriate applications of predictive modeling, machine learning, Generative AI, and other emerging technologies into teaching and experiential learning.
• Conduct high-quality research in the candidate’s field(s).
• Contribute to the department, college, university, and broader academic and professional communities through appropriate service activities.
