NC State University's Poole College of Management invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting, with a start date in August 2027. The department seeks candidates with a Ph.D.

in Accounting or a related field and a strong track record or potential in research and teaching. Responsibilities include developing a high-quality research program, delivering courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, and contributing to service.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Accounting or closely related field by Fall 2027.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
• Strong written and verbal communication and service contributions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high-quality, impactful research program in accounting leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Deliver high-quality accounting instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels (MAC, MBA).
• Contribute to teaching in managerial accounting, auditing, AIS, analytics, and AI.
• Contribute to department, college, and university service missions.
• Collaborate with faculty and engage with students and stakeholders to advance teaching, research, and service.
