Job summary

North Carolina State University in Raleigh invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting, with an anticipated start date in August 2027. The department welcomes applicants from both emerging scholars and experienced faculty.

Responsibilities include building a high-impact research program, delivering instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels (MAC and MBA), and contributing to service and collegial collaboration. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Accounting (or completing by Fall 2027)
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses including MAC and MBA programs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and scholarly orientation
• Capacity to contribute to department, college, and university service
• CPA credentials are a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Develop a high-quality, impactful research agenda and publish in leading journals.
• Deliver instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels (MAC and MBA).
• Contribute to teaching needs in areas such as managerial accounting, auditing, and information systems.
• Engage in service and professional activities to support the department and college.
• Collaborate with faculty to foster an interdisciplinary academic environment.
• Mentor students and participate in program development and outreach
