St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Bill Munday School of Business.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, engage with the Austin business community, pursue research for peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to AACSB-accredited curricula while supporting diversity and service.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited university.
• Ability to develop and teach Accounting courses in undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Experience teaching in person and online; integrate experiential learning across the curriculum.
• Experience incorporating AI techniques and/or emerging technologies into the curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research and publish in peer‑reviewed journals in Accounting or related fields.
• Willingness to engage with the business community in Austin; industry experience preferred.
• Willingness to lead/collaborate on Accounting co-curricular programming and student mentoring/advising.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Commitment to working with a diverse population aligned with the University's mission.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill teaching requirements of a 7‑course (4‑3 or 3‑4) teaching load per academic year, courses may be in-person, hybrid, or online.
• Interact with the business community in Austin to develop applied projects for students.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff on co-curricular programming and student mentoring initiatives.
• Provide academic advising and mentoring for undergraduate students.
• Participate in assessment of student performance in the discipline.
• Maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic status through an active research program.
• Maintain on-campus presence and contribute to service through committees and initiatives.
• Fulfill other faculty responsibilities as outlined in the Faculty Manual.
