Position: Tennis Shop Attendant, Part Time

We're hiring a Part Time Tennis Shop Attendant for Phoenix Country Club in Arizona!

Tennis Shop Attendants provide friendly, efficient service to guests, assist the tennis staff with shop operations, merchandise sales, and related activities. Knowledge of tennis is preferred but not required; beginners are welcome.

Candidates should have flexible schedules, including availability on weekends, holidays, and during the golf season.

Responsibilities

1. Perform opening and closing procedures for the shop as directed by management.
2. Handle POS transactions responsibly.
3. Collect fees from members, guests, and outside patrons.
4. Make reservations for courts, clinics, lessons, and events via phone or in person.
5. Assist guests with merchandise sales and information in a professional manner.
6. Manage stock rotation and maintain displays.
7. Assist with shop cleanliness and general maintenance.
8. Help create attractive displays with the shop supervisor.
9. Participate in monthly physical inventories.
10. Coordinate with coaches for start and play times.
11. Follow safe work practices.
12. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
13. Perform other duties as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

1. High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience or training, or equivalent.
2. Ability to read and speak English to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
3. Active tennis player with knowledge of the game preferred.
4. Retail sales experience is a plus.
5. Proficiency with computers, including POS systems, Microsoft Office, social media, and tennis-related software (e.g., tennisdirector.com, ClubAutomation).

Working Conditions

1. Stand, use hands, reach, talk, and hear frequently.
2. Walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch regularly.
3. Lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
4. Work outdoors in weather conditions occasionally.
5. Moderate noise level.
