Job summary

Mt. Lebanon is seeking a Part-Time Tennis/Pickleball Instructor to teach adults and juniors at the Mt. Lebanon Racket Center. The role reports to the Tennis/Racket Center Manager and involves planning engaging lessons, maintaining safety, and communicating student progress to families.

The position requires PTR, USPTA, or RSPA tennis certification and PPR pickleball certification. Background clearances may be required for work with minors and program reimbursement is offered where eligible.

• Clear understanding of tennis and/or pickleball instruction.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to engage participants.
• Energy and enthusiasm for tennis/pickleball instruction.
• Planning and organizational skills for lesson delivery.
• Basic tennis/pickleball playing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides tennis and/or pickleball instruction to participants of all ages and abilities.
• Engages participants and maintains their interest with drills and activities.
• Provides information on programs and student progress to parents and students.
• Ensures lessons are safe, fun and effective.
• Records class attendance.
• Ensures all equipment is ready for class in advance.
• Cleans up equipment after activities.
• Enforces facility rules.
• Assists with tournaments as needed.
