Job summary
Plus One, an Optum Company, is seeking Tennis Instructors to teach at a premier university fitness center in Boston, MA. You will conduct private and semi-private tennis lessons for members of all skill levels, develop personalized lesson plans, and teach techniques, footwork, strategy, and court etiquette in a safe and engaging environment.
Ideal candidates have prior tennis coaching experience, official certification with CPR/AED, and strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching tennis lessons.
- Current nationally recognized tennis certification and CPR/AED certification.
- Strong knowledge of tennis fundamentals and instructional techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage scheduled lessons.
Responsibilities
- Conduct private and semi-private tennis lessons for members of all skill levels.
- Develop lesson plans tailored to each participant's goals and ability level.
- Teach proper tennis techniques, footwork, strategy, and court etiquette.
- Foster a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled lessons.
- Communicate professionally with members and staff regarding scheduling and participant needs.
