Job summary

Prospect Park Alliance seeks a Director of the Tennis Center to provide strategic leadership over programming, facilities, staff, and business operations. You will drive visitor experience, community engagement, and sustainable revenue growth while guiding a diverse team and coordinating with NYC Parks.

The role oversees budgets, marketing collaboration, and capital projects, ensuring year-round tennis activities and exceptional service for park users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, sports management, or related field.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible management experience, including leadership of recreation/sports or customer-facing operations.
• Experience in public recreational facilities or community-based sports programs.
• USPTA/RSPA, PTR, or equivalent racquet sports certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Tennis Center programming, facilities, staff, and operations.
• Oversee maintenance and safe, efficient operations of multiple courts and facilities.
• Develop plans to increase participation, satisfaction, and community access.
• Establish budgets, forecasts and performance metrics to monitor financial health.
• Lead recruitment, coaching, and development of tennis instructors.
