Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Tendering Manager to transform customer requirements into competitive proposals for grid reliability and modernization. You will coordinate technical and commercial inputs, develop pricing strategies, assess risks, and drive tender activities from opportunity evaluation through submission.

You will lead a multi-discipline team, interface with internal company areas and external partners, and travel 10–15% as needed to support high-impact infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical is preferable.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
• 7+ years of tender/bidding/sales experience.
• Experience in Power Quality Solutions / FACTS (STATCOM, SVC, SynCon) or HV Substations for Grid Connect/Data Center projects.
• Process oriented, disciplined, with a strong results focus.
• Proactive with stakeholders and teams across functions.
• Leads multi-discipline teams interfacing with internal and external partners.
• Travels 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents to understand customer requirements and scope.
• Prepare accurate, competitive quotations using cost analysis and benchmarks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather technical and commercial inputs.
• Manage tender timelines to ensure high-quality, on-time submissions.
• Analyze bid opportunities and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions.
• Identify and assess risks in bids, contracts, and estimates with risk reviews.
• Maintain clear, compliant documentation and perform quality checks.
• Engage with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements and support a positive experience.
