Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Right To Counsel Coordinator in San Francisco for a hybrid, non-exempt role supporting tenants seeking pro per legal assistance and TRC services. The RTCC serves as the first in-person contact, guiding clients with empathy in a fast-paced environment.

The position works with the Clinic Supervisor and litigation teams to route referrals, draft basic legal documents, and maintain compliance with RTC procedures while managing a substantial caseload.

Qualifications

• One year of case-management or legal assistance experience or relevant client-facing work.
• Knowledge of housing initiatives preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce experience preferred.
• Experience with a diverse population including non-English speakers preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person reception, assess clients’ eligibility, and direct referrals.
• Assist clients with intakes and schedule consultations.
• Draft legal documents and responsive pleadings to assist tenants.
• Follow referral protocols to identify the appropriate Tenant Right to Counsel LSO.
• Research resources and circulate information packets for additional services.
• Maintain a minimum of 20 cases per month as required by the program.
