University of North Carolina Wilmington is seeking a Temporary Worker/Landscaper to support campus landscaping tasks and grounds maintenance. The role may require reporting to work during adverse weather and potentially assisting in snow removal as needed.
Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and a valid NC driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with a likely starting wage of $18 per hour.
Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position
Workers typically assist landscaping services with planting flowers and plants as well as trimming grass and edging walks and driveways. Perform general grounds maintenance to include trash pick‑up, new landscaping, irrigation installation, edging, pruning, mowing and general manicuring of all campus properties and lot maintenance. This position has been designated as mandatory personnel for the University and may be required to report to work during adverse weather conditions even though the University may be operating on an alternate schedule. This position may assist in the removal of snow, ice or debris, as required.
