Job summary

The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide pharmacy services and customer support to internal and external clients and students. You will dispense prescriptions, perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, and maintain records in line with board regulations.

You may oversee storage, narcotics inventory, and administration, manage inventory in the pharmacy and automated dispensing system, and handle hospital information system pricing data.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist in the State of Ohio.
• Experience as a pharmacist in a veterinary setting.
• willingness for evenings, holidays and rotating Saturdays as required.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions and compound sterile and non-sterile preparations.
• Maintain records per Ohio State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Oversee drug storage, narcotics inventory and administration.
• Manage inventory in the pharmacy and automated dispensing system.
• Maintain inventory and pricing data in the hospital information system.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
