Reliable transportation to travel to other locations as needed.PurposeThis role supports the employee lifecycle from recruitment through onboarding, employee support, and offboarding. It serves as an administrative and customer-service resource for hiring managers, candidates, employees, HR staff, and University partners.ResponsibilitiesSubmitting requests for and tracking HR activities including hiring, separations, interviews, and recruitments; assisting with candidate communications, interview schedules, itineraries, and materials; maintaining hiring documentation and compliance records; and supporting new-hire onboarding through offer-letter preparation, employee communications, and coordination of access and equipment.The role also manages onboarding for students, affiliates, contractors, temporary workers, and guests; coordinates separations; responds to employee, manager, and candidate inquiries through shared HR intake channels with guidance from TIE-HR team members; may prepare reports and update the organizational chart; helps improve HR processes, support events, and provide administrative backup as needed.The primary location will be West Pickle Research Campus with the possibility of needing some backup support at Pickle Research Campus (MER building) or our Southwest Austin location on Montopolis. Reliable transportation to travel to other locations as needed.Required QualificationsHigh school graduation or equivalent. One or more years of progressively responsible administrative, human resources, talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, employee services, or closely related experience.Experience coordinating multiple projects, schedules, and competing priorities simultaneously.Experience delivering customer service and support. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain professionalism, and work independently while managing multiple deadlines.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.Two or more years of experience supporting recruitment, candidate management, interview coordination, staffing, or other human resources functions.Experience working in the semiconductor industry or supporting technical and research-focused organizations.Experience using Workday or a similar Human Resource Information System (HRIS).Experience using Visio, Smartsheet, or similar tools for process documentation, project tracking, and workflow management.Experience working in higher education, research institutions, government agencies, or other public-sector organizations.Knowledge of University of Texas policies, procedures, and administrative systems.Ability to travel to and work at multiple local locations as needed; access to reliable transportation is preferred.Hourly Rate$28.50Working ConditionsBusiness casual attireStandard office environmentUse of manual dexterityRepetitive use of a keyboard at a workstationWork Shift8 or 8:30 am to 5: 00 p.m.M-FRequired MaterialsResume/CV3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisorImportant for applicants who are NOT current university employees or contingent workers: You will be prompted to submit your resume the first time you apply, then you will be provided an option to upload a new Resume for subsequent applications.
