This position is for a PhD‑level aquatic macroinvertebrate researcher with extensive experience working on macroinvertebrate communities and water quality in the Savannah and Ogeechee Rivers during flood and drought conditions. The researcher will use these skills to evaluate previously collected data sets to understand differences in aquatic health with changing water levels in these rivers.
Field work that includes hot and humid conditions with biting insects in the summer and cold temperatures in the winter. Tasks may include wading into streams and wetlands, carrying equipment to the field sites (distance can be around a mile), lifting heavy objects (>50 lbs), and repetitive motions such as for pipetting. Driving as needed for job duties.
