Job summary

The Nassau BOCES Department of Special Education seeks a temporary Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide itinerant services to students across our schools and component districts.

The successful candidate will hold NYS Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing, work with students with hearing loss, and collaborate with educators and families. Experience with FM systems and cochlear implants is highly preferred; strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing is required.
• Experience with students with hearing loss and/or deafness.
