Tucson Unified School District in Tucson, AZ is hiring for a temporary assignment to support classroom teaching. The role is 0.75 FTE (6 hours per day) and ends at the end of the current 26/27 school year. External applicants only.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and at least one year of experience with youth. References and an affidavit of eligibility may be required.

Salary details follow district pay scales with opportunities for overtime as applicable.

SUMMARY

Assists teachers in performing their classroom teaching responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test
  OR
  Associate’s (or higher) degree
  OR
  Two-years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of post high school general education studies
• One year of experience working with youth
• Speak, read and write in English

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

• Copy of diploma, transcript or test results must be submitted at time of hire.
• FBI fingerprint background check.
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Work Calendar:9 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
