Qualifications

• Requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Requires a Surgical Technology credential to teach in lab settings.
• Experience with sterile/aseptic technique expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during laboratory practice and ensure safety and compliance with policies.
• Reinforce sterile and aseptic techniques and safe lab practices.
• Identify and report safety concerns, equipment issues, or policy violations to faculty.
• Provide students with opportunities to reinforce skills from class and lab instruction.
• Assist with instrumentation handling, equipment use, and case setup.
• Encourage students to develop confidence in essential surgical technology skills.
• Offer supervised practice to strengthen technical skills before clinical rotations.
