Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Care professional to administer oxygen therapy, manage ventilations, and document care per department guidelines. You will respond to respiratory emergencies and act as charge therapist when needed.

Responsibilities include airway management, monitoring equipment, and performing intubations with approved protocols, while maintaining intake and chart records for patients across the health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a COARC approved Respiratory Care Program.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT) required.
• Licensed by the NCRCB required.
• BCLS certified by the American Heart Association required.
• Clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer continuous oxygen and aerosol therapy per guidelines.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation with documentation.
• Access medications from Medication Security Area to implement care.
• Provide airway management and participate in emergency resuscitation.
• Perform intubations after approval and follow protocols.
• Monitor equipment and act as charge therapist in supervisor's absence.
