Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a Respiratory Care Services professional to perform all aspects of respiratory care for Health System patients during night shifts. Responsibilities include ventilation management, emergency resuscitation support, and meticulous charting in accordance with department guidelines.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care, NBC credentials (RRT), NCRCB licensure, and BCLS certification, with 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from COARC approved Respiratory Care Program.
• RRT certification is required.
• NCRCB license required.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer continuous oxygen and therapy per guidelines.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation with documentation.
• Perform airway management and assist in resuscitation.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide patient care as charge therapist when needed.
• Monitor patient status and adjust care per protocols.
