Job summary

The University of Notre Dame in Indiana is hiring for temporary/on-call Retail Associates in our Campus Dining department, with 2nd and 3rd shift coverage. The UOES division oversees campus dining, events, hospitality, and student life, supporting the university's mission and community.

As a Retail Associate, you will provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment, assist with food prep and stocking, operate POS systems, and ensure food safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications

• Available to work late night shifts (6PM-2AM) and Sundays.
• Capable of time management with minimal supervision.
• Positive, respectful, excellent communication and listening skills.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products.

Job Description

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for temporary/on-call Retail Associates (2nd & 3rd shift) in our Campus Dining department. The UOES Division oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while also supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.

Retail Associate

This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service for our guests while ensuring a clean, fast and friendly multi unit environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist guests and exceed expectations while working at a fast-paced dining establishment
• Assist with preparation of food as needed
• Stock and rotation of food inventories
• Operate order and point of sale equipment
• Accurately follow the brand standards
• Wash dishes, and maintain a clean unit
• Perform all tasks relating to retail, safety and sanitation of food service facilities

Qualifications

• Available to work late night shifts (6PM-2AM). Must be available to work Sundays.
• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision

Pay Rate:

$17.50/hr
