Job summary

Ashland School District in Ashland, Oregon, is seeking a temporary ASU Student Affinity Group Advisor at Ashland High School to coordinate and facilitate student affinity groups. The role includes maintaining confidentiality, coordinating meetings, and working with district and regional partners to support student-led initiatives.

The advisor will ensure monthly group meetings, manage communications and logistics, and support youth leadership development within the ASD framework and community

Qualifications

• Current employees of the Ashland School District are strongly preferred.
• Personally identify with the same affinity as students in the affinity group, or demonstrate allyship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate affinity group meetings and set community agreements.
• Draft and send invitations; manage participant lists and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with school administrators, SOESD staff, and Equity & Learning Administrators as needed.
• Plan activities within the district budget and ensure adherence to policies.
• Support students’ social-emotional well-being and facilitate safe discussions.
