JEFFERSON COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL in Madras, Oregon seeks a Special Education Behavior Teacher (Temporary for remaining 2026/27 SY) to support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This role focuses on direct instruction in skill deficit areas and collaboration with general education staff to implement behavior plans.

The position offers a prorated salary between $52,317 and $102,607 plus a prorated $10,000 SPED stipend, 190 contract days, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Valid TSPC with proper endorsements or ability to obtain before start date.
• Standards of moral character as required of all Oregon licensed educators (OAR 584-005-0005).
• Special Education Experience preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction in social, functional, and behavioral skills to students with significant educational needs.
• Assist general education teachers with behavior intervention strategies and IEP implementation.
• Follow federal, state and district procedures for IEP development and review.
