Position: Temporary Social Media Freelancer
Duration: July 14, 2025 – January 15, 2026
Hours: 20 hours per week, 6-month engagement
Rate: $25/hour
Location: Remote with occasional on-campus presence for events

About NōssiNōssi College of Art & Design is Nashville's career launchpad for creative leaders. We develop students who don't just enter the creative workforce — they advance within it. Through intimate learning environments, real-world experience via our internship and PACE programs, and innovative approaches like our Nōssi AI Model, we prepare graduates to become creative leaders in their fields.
The opportunityWe're launching an exciting new brand positioning and need a talented social media freelancer to help tell our story across digital platforms. You'll play a key role in communicating how Nōssi develops creative leaders while showcasing the vibrant student experience that makes our college unique.
This is a temporary position during a critical transition period, offering the chance to help launch a major rebranding effort and work closely with a dynamic marketing team.
What you'll doContent creation and management:
- Develop original social media content using AI tools and design templates
- Curate and repurpose existing content to align with new brand messaging
- Create engaging posts that showcase student work, faculty expertise, and campus life
- Manage content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Pinterest
Brand storytelling:
- Help launch Nōssi's new "Nashville's career launchpad for creative leaders" positioning
- Craft copy that resonates with prospective students and highlights career outcomes
- Showcase real-world student experiences through internships and the PACE program
- Feature content from the Nōssi Ambassadors program
Platform management:
- Schedule and publish content using Publer.io (training provided)
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments professionally
- Track content performance and suggest optimizations
- Maintain consistent brand voice across all platforms
Event coverage:
- Beginning mid-September, attend select campus events to capture content
- Create real-time social content during events and exhibitions
- Collaborate with student ambassadors and campus photographers
What we're looking forRequired qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience managing social media accounts professionally
- Strong design sensibility with understanding of visual hierarchy and brand consistency
- Excellent written English with ability to craft engaging social copy with the assistance of AI tools
- Proficiency in Canva for creating graphics and social assets
- Experience with major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance metrics
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience with Claude AI or similar AI content creation tools
- Familiarity with Publer.io or similar social scheduling platforms
- Experience creating content for Gen Z audiences
- Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices
- Experience following marketing guidelines and regulations

Reporting structureYou'll report directly to the Marketing Director. You'll receive guidance on brand standards, messaging, and content strategy while having creative freedom to execute engaging social content.
