Nashville State College is seeking Temporary Supplemental Instruction Leaders to support students in targeted courses. You will attend sessions, help students engage with material, and prepare lesson plans under the supervision of the Learning Center Coordinator.

The role requires current Nashville State student status, minimum 15 credit hours, a 2.5 GPA, and a Math grade of B or higher. Pay is $15.50 per hour, 12–15 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to gain

• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to report to a campus location for the work assignment.

Aufgaben

• Attends all SI sessions and course lectures, takes notes and models appropriate academic attitudes and behaviors.
• Creates lesson plans for SI sessions and prepares materials.
• Submits lesson plans and materials prior to scheduled SI sessions for approval and feedback.
• Submits attendance records, time sheets, and other paperwork to SI Coordinator timely.
• Attends staff meetings and training sessions to learn new SI strategies.
• Holds additional SI sessions up to four times during the semester outside of regularly scheduled sessions.
• Meets with assigned faculty members for 1.5 hours maximum per month, as deemed appropriate by SI Leader and faculty member.
• Maintains professional communication with the course instructor, including periodic meetings to debrief SI sessions.
• Acts as peer support for students and refers students to campus support services as needed.
• Becomes familiar with the technology/resources in the classrooms.
• Completes program assessment surveys and administers surveys in SI sessions or lectures as needed.
• Checks email and SI Program messaging system regularly.
• Perform job duties from the assigned campus or work location.
