Your Role on the Team

Covered under University series concepts/job specification for Custodian. This recruitment is for the Temporary Senior Custodian position through UCI's internal temporary staffing department. This is a temporary position within the housing units for our Summer Housing Project. The project is expected to begin in May and continue through September, with exact dates to be determined.

Senior Custodian

Incumbents perform routine skilled cleaning, housekeeping, or general maintenance. Examples of skilled cleaning include pressure washing, buffing/waxing hard floors, and deep cleaning carpets. Duties will include, but are not limited to daily floor care, dusting, bathroom cleaning and sanitation, kitchen cleaning, cleaning of fixtures and furniture, interior trash removal, window cleaning, and additional tasks as necessary to ensure all facilities are maintained at a high level of cleanliness. Performs individually or as part of a team. Incumbents may experience a varying degree of contact with the public depending on the nature, location and assigned hours of work. Incumbents also make recommendations to improve processes and/or procedures.

Pay Rate Range: $20.46/hr - $21.72/hr

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Required:

• 1-3 years Custodial/housekeeping experience
• CA Driver's License Required

• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English

This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department.
