Job summary

ReNEW Schools in Missouri seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support student health and safety under RN supervision. The role involves delivering nursing care, managing student health conditions, administering medications, and responding to illnesses and emergencies within a school setting.

The LPN will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing, coordinating with families and school staff to ensure health services align with individual health plans and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Missouri
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Knowledge of HIPPA/FERPA

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration and basic first aid
• Monitor and manage students with chronic health conditions
• Assist in implementing 504/IEP plans as needed
• Maintain confidential student records in compliance with HIPPA/FERPA
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student health issues and needs
• Respond to medical emergencies and initiate school protocol until help arrives
• Maintain a clean and organized health office with proper medication storage
