Job summary

West Platte School District is seeking a qualified Substitute LPN/RN Nurse on a PRN basis to support student health services. The role requires Missouri licensure as LPN (RN preferred), CPR/First Aid certification, and passage of the state medicine administration test.

You will coordinate health policies, screen and refer health conditions, maintain health rooms, and collaborate with families and health providers to promote a safe, healthy school environment.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed in Missouri as an LPN; RN preferred.
• BSN preferred; background/fingerprint check required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Must have passed the medicine administration test.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in school health policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with legal/regulatory standards of nursing practice.
• Assess, plan, and evaluate health services in the district health program.
• Develop and coordinate quality improvement for school health services.
• Provide screening and referral for health conditions.
• Promote a healthy school environment and student well-being.
• Maintain health rooms and crisis kits; monitor budget and supplies.
• Communicate with families and health providers; ensure confidentiality.
• Support IEP/504 teams as the health care expert.
