Job summary

CAPITOL REGION EDUCATION COUNCIL (CREC) seeks a Physical Therapist for a temporary period at River Street Autism Program in Bloomfield, CT. The PT will assess, plan, and implement educationally relevant therapies and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff.

Requirements include an accredited PT program, CT license, and about two years of pediatric or school-based experience. Travel to school sites is expected; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed PT program recognized by APTA and passed NPTEx.
• Two years of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in school settings.
• Current State of Connecticut License by the Department of Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and collaborate on IEP goals for students at assigned sites.
• Provide intervention services to enhance participation and learning.
• Document therapy services, progress, evaluations, and billing when required.
• Maintain time records for billing and coordinate with staff and families.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers as needed.
