Job summary

Family Centers in Stamford, CT is seeking a temporary licensed mental health practitioner to staff a school-based outpatient clinic. The role involves providing counseling to students and families, with a caseload and an expected start date in early December.

The position is 30–35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–2:30pm, for 3–4 months, paying $40–$48 per hour. This is a temporary, school-based assignment under SBHC.

Qualifications

• Master’s or post-master’s degree from an accredited counseling program.
• Active CT licensure (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPCA, LMFT) or ability to obtain CT licensure.
• Experience with middle school students and their families preferred.
• Bilingual/bi-cultural experience strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and experience using evidence-based models with children and families.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, state, federal, licensing, and accrediting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling to students.
• Work as part of interdisciplinary health care teams with nurses and health educators.
• Maintain continuity of care for an established caseload.
• Staff a school-based outpatient clinic in Stamford, CT.
• Schedule 30–35 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 7:30am–2:30pm).
