School-Based Mental Health Clinician – Part-Time Stamford

Job summary

Family Centers is seeking a temporary licensed mental health practitioner to staff a school-based outpatient clinic in Stamford, CT. This 3-4 month position operates 30-35 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-2:30pm, with anticipated start in early December.

The clinician will provide individual, family, and group counseling, lead health education, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care for an established caseload and equitable access to services.

Qualifications

• Master’s or post-master’s degree from an accredited counseling program.
• Active Connecticut licensure (LCSW/LMSW/LPC/LPCA/LMFT) or ability to obtain CT licensure.
• Experience working with middle school students and their families preferred.
• Bilingual/bi-cultural experience strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and experience using evidence-based models with children and families.
• Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling to students in a school-based outpatient clinic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain continuity of care for an established caseload.
• Deliver health education and small/large group instruction.
• Support equitable access and proactive relationship building with students and families.
