Marc Jacobs International in New York City (SoHo) seeks a Temporary Sample Coordinator to support the Merchandising team with post-market sample management across Mainline Leather Goods, RTW, Footwear, Jewelry and more.

The role emphasizes meticulous organization, cross-functional collaboration with product merchants, creative services, marketing, PR, and PD teams, and in-office presence five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for post market management of all samples for Mainline Leather Goods, RTW, Footwear, Jewelry; Heaven RTW, Accessories, Jewelry; Outlet Leather Goods & Jewelry, Beauty, Little Marc, Eyewear.
• Maintain database of samples including location, corrections, return status, and future needs.
• Follow up with cross-functional teams on sample return status and condition.
• Maintain and organize the sample closets.
• Seasonal Market support including showroom organization, market photography, and organizing carnet/sample shipments.
• Data integrity in all systems; support for product data in PLM, JOOR, AX.

OVERVIEW

Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Temporary Sample Coordinator to join the Merchandising team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for post market management of all samples for Mainline Leather Goods, RTW, Footwear, Jewelry; Heaven RTW, Accessories, Jewelry; Outlet Leather Goods & Jewelry, Beauty, Little Marc, Eyewear
• Maintain database of samples that includes notable product corrections that need to be corrected in post-production, current location of samples, estimate return status, future needs etc.
• Follow up with all cross-functional teams on sample return status and condition
• Key cross functional partners: Product Merchants, Creative Services, Marketing Team, PR Team, Commercial teams, PD Teams, and Design
• Maintain and organize the sample closets
• Seasonal Market support including:
  • Showroom organization & maintenance
  • Market photography – packing samples, detailed photography shot lists, coding images
  • Organizing carnet/sample shipments for market if necessary
  • Data integrity in all systems
• General support for Merch owned product data integrity in all systems – PLM, JOOR, AX

QUALIFICATIONS

• Entry Level

• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to successfully navigate in such an environment
• Highly detail oriented with strong organizational & problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills

SALARY & BENEFITS

The compensation for this position ranges from $23- $25 hourly. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. Marc Jacobs uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward all levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.
