Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is hiring for a Retail Associate in Campus Dining at Gipper's. This temporary/on-call role supports guests with fast, friendly service and flexible afternoon to late-night shifts.

You will handle food prep, stocking, POS operations, and sanitation, while upholding safety standards in a busy dining environment.

Qualifications

• Availability to work afternoon or late night shifts (11AM-7PM or 4PM-12AM).
• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Positive, respectful communication and listening skills.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing and serving food.

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for temporary/on-call Retail Associates (2nd & 3rd shift) at Gipper's in our Campus Dining department. The UOES Division oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while also supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.

Retail Associate

This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service for our guests while ensuring a clean, fast and friendly multi unit environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist guests and exceed expectations while working at a fast-paced dining establishment
• Assist with preparation of food as needed
• Stock and rotation of food inventories
• Operate order and point of sale equipment
• Accurately follow the brand standards
• Wash dishes, and maintain a clean unit
• Perform all tasks relating to retail, safety and sanitation of food service facilities

Qualifications and Availability:
