Job summary

Seminole State College of Florida is seeking a temporary full-time Respiratory Care faculty member to lead and assess the clinical education component of the program. Duties include developing courses, coordinating clinical experiences, and ensuring alignment with CoARC standards.

The role requires an RRT with teaching experience, a health-related master’s degree, and current Florida licensure. Location is on SSC campuses with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a health-related field is required.
• Must be an RRT with at least four years’ experience and two in clinical respiratory care.
• Florida RRT license or eligibility prior to hiring.
• Minimum two years teaching in an accredited respiratory care program.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• CoARC Key Personnel Training within six months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and teach didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses in Respiratory Care, including syllabi and evaluations.
• Coordinate and supervise clinical education experiences with Program Manager and Medical Director.
• Maintain performance records and evaluate clinical practicum outcomes.
• Collaborate to plan and assess clinical and lab experiences and site orientations.
• Ensure students meet program requirements including preclinical checks and immunizations.
• Engage students with effective teaching strategies to foster learning and retention.
• Participate in program operations and student activities.
• Maintain office hours for student counseling.
