Job Opportunity: Researcher for The Forbes 400

Forbes is seeking inquisitive college students, recent graduates, or graduate students to investigate and cover the world’s wealthiest individuals. This role involves being an integral part of the team producing The Forbes 400, including our annual ranking of the richest people in America. These are paid positions with opportunities to write for Forbes.com.

Responsibilities:

1. Gather information on billionaires through traditional reporting methods: analyzing financial filings and annual reports, conducting phone interviews with billionaires, and reaching out to third-party sources.
2. Assist in compiling Forbes’ net worth estimates.
3. Write biographies about the billionaires covered.
4. Create web features and short magazine articles about billionaires.

The ideal candidate:

1. Has prior experience in writing or finance.
2. Is interested in analyzing financial documents.
3. Is eager to cover successful entrepreneurs and businesspeople.
4. Possesses strong analytical and reporting skills.
5. Is comfortable working with financial figures and terminology.

Compensation: The hourly rate for this role is $24.00.
