Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts to deliver safe patient care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while mentoring junior staff and guiding family teaching.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, with BSN preferred. Prior acute care and ventilator management experience are valued as the team cares for diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Maintain standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in the patient’s condition and test results.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
