Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg department on the night shift. This full-time, temporary role offers $60/hour and focuses on delivering safe patient care using the nursing process.

The RN will provide direct care, guide patient and family education, coordinate with physicians, and ensure standards of care on the unit. Requirements include an active RN license; BLS on hire and ACLS within 30 days (preferred); BSN

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS certification required on hire and current.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and current preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.

Pay:$60/hour

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
• He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
