Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a registered nurse to join the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit for night shifts. You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians to monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.

The role supports patient teaching and guides other nursing staff while upholding high standards of care. Active RN license in PA, BLS, ACLS (preferred) are required or pursued as indicated.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained (preferred).
• Prior acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct patient/family teaching and guidance of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and respond quickly to decompensation.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
