Job summary

Vista Health is seeking a Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical team. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care by assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering treatments, and educating patients and families.

The role requires an Illinois RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS/NIHSS certifications within designated timelines. Prior Med/Surg experience and strong clinical skills are preferred for this temporary assignment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Illinois RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within thirty (30) days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with nursing, organizational, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and professional development activities.
• Supervise and coordinate patient care with Patient Care Technicians and Unit Secretaries.

Pay: Days - $65/hr, Nights - $70/hr

Position Summary

Vista Health is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical team. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care by assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering treatments and medications, monitoring patient progress, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
