Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit. The role centers on delivering safe patient care using the nursing process from assessment to evaluation.

You will collaborate with physicians, guide patient and family teaching, and supervise other nursing staff to maintain high standards of care in a 131-bed community hospital serving Roxborough and nearby communities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Directly responsible and accountable for care given to assigned patients.
• Communicates with physician about changes in the patient's condition including cardiac monitoring and tests.

Pay:$60/hour

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
• He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.4.
