Job summary

Greenwood County Voter Registration & Elections is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Temporary Part-Time Clerk. This position supports the public, handles computers and detailed information, and participates in the electoral process.

Salary is $15.23 per hour. The schedule offers approximately 8–16 hours per week, typically 1–2 days, with extra hours during early voting and busy election periods.

Qualifications

• Typing and general computer use required.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Office applications.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read, interpret and decipher maps and spreadsheets.
• Detail-oriented, organized and accurate in a busy office environment.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and operate well with the public and as part of a team.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with sensitive information.
• GIS knowledge or experience is preferred.

Greenwood County Voter Registration & Elections

Greenwood County is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our Voter Registration & Elections team as a Temporary Part-Time Clerk. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with the public, is comfortable working with computers and detailed information, and has an interest in the electoral process. Salary - $15.23/hr.

Schedule

• Approximately 8–16 hours per week
• Typically 1–2 days per week
• Additional hours will be required during early voting and other busy election periods
• Candidates should have flexibility to work additional hours as election needs arise

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the electoral process and be comfortable working in a busy, detail-oriented office environment.

Successful candidates should:

• Be proficient in typing and general computer use
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and Adobe
• Possess strong verbal communication and customer service skills, both in person and over the phone
• Be able to read, interpret, and decipher maps and spreadsheets

GIS knowledge or experience is preferred.
